My name is Agata Wiacek-Lukaszewska and I run a private counselling practice in Bristol. Are u OK?
I graduated with a Master's degree in Pedagogy and a Postgraduate degree in Counselling and Psychological Assistance at the University of Zielona Góra.
I gained experience at Network Counselling & Training in the UK, which is a counselling / psychotherapy organisation. I am constantly improving my qualifications by participating in various training courses. My work is also subject to regular supervision.
I conduct Person-Centred therapy, which was created by Carl Rogers. This therapy is based on the therapist's relationship with the client, and its main premises are the authenticity of the relationship, acceptance and empathy. The client decides what they want to work on and sets the pace of therapeutic work.
Working with people on the autistic spectrum and Asperger's Syndrome is something that is particularly close to my heart. However, I only work with adults.
I offer counselling and psychological help in the following areas:
- you are looking for marital therapy / couples therapy
- you suffer from loneliness, depression, fear
- you can't cope with change and the stress that accompanies it
- you are looking for support in making further life decisions
- you are the parent of a disabled child
- you are dying and you are afraid of death
- you are in the mourning process after the loss of a loved one
- you want to talk about possible solutions to current problems that are a source of excessive stress for you
- you are looking for psychological support, but you are afraid of burdening your loved ones with your problems, or you simply have no one to share your suffering with for fear of: misunderstanding, rejection, unkindness
- you struggle with Autism or Asperger's Syndrome and the rejection associated with it
